Pray that the Lord would continue to call young men and women to full-time Christian service in France, which needs nearly 1,000 workers. Pray that God would lead these young adults to enroll in our program and trust Him to meet their needs as they study.
Our first seminar, aimed at helping active French pastors, was a real success. Fourteen men came from all over France to learn what the Bible and history have to say about the methods used in local church ministry. Discussion was lively as we talked about standards for music, evangelism, leadership training, etc. Interest was high to continue these seminars and Lord willing, we will schedule another one next summer. Pray with us as we select a subject and look for a qualified teacher.
Pray that the Lord would continue to lead qualified men and women to help us in this ministry. We are looking in particular for people with administrative skills and qualified to teach in the areas of Christian Theology, Music or Counselling, and those who could help us develop a distance learning program (by Internet).
I.B.P.B. is entering a new stage in its building program. Our main building is currently loaned to us rent-free, and we also own a second building that currently serves as a student dorm. The owner of our main building has offered to sell it to us, which will enable us to undertake necessary remodelling, tie it to the dorm building and build on additional land we also own. Plans are being drawn up right now by a Christian architect. Please pray that the Lord will guide us as we fine tune the drawings and put together a financial plan to present to our Board in October. We’ll also be looking for financial partners interested in investing in helping train a new generation of Christian leaders for the French-speaking world.
